I just wanted to say thank you.
The chisels you sold me early this year are by far my favorites. I thought I was impressed with them straight away, but after a good deal of use I am still learning just how impressive they are.
They get sharper than anything else I own, even a little sharper than my carving tools, sharp enough to leave a polished surface finish on the soft aspect of end grain of a nasty piece of fast growth radiata pine I bought in ignorance a number of years ago and couldn’t bring myself to use for building anything.
I don’t spend anywhere near as much time at the stones, and they give me better feedback and control.
I don’t have the words to adequately describe the comparison to my previous chisels other than to say that these make me smile whenever I use them. Every time I pick them up I look forward to using them and through experience learn more about the beauty of their function.
Thank you for doing the work of seeking out the blacksmiths and making these tools available to people like me who otherwise would have remained ignorant of the possibilities.
