I am blown away by these tools (hantataki chisel, atsunomi chisel, sokosarai chisel, Matsui precision square and notched straightedge). I’m glad I didn’t purchase them earlier when my sharpening skills were less than ideal (that may still be the case, but much improved nonetheless).
I wanted to give them a true test and so I grabbed some bloodwood I had laying around. The magnitude and length at which they performed was better than I could’ve imagined.
It’s truly an honor to work these tools, and I wanted to thank you, the blacksmiths, and everyone else who had a role in these magnificent tools.
